Nicole EllisHi. My name is Nicole and I’m the Office Administrator for Just-Eat.ie. I joined the company in December 2008 and have never looked back! My responsbilities include managing restaurant and customer queries, handling all of the online and offline administration, checking the online menus, preparing the Just-Eat boxes before they go into shops, assisting Customer Care and lots, lots more.

One of the main reasons why I enjoy working at Just-Eat is because when I joined we were still a little internet company with big ideas, and in a short space of time we have become the biggest online takeaway service in Ireland and growing fast! Its really exciting to be part of business that is constantly evolving and getting bigger.

I think within the next few years, people will be wondering why they ever used the phone to order their takeaways. I believe ordering via Just-Eat will just become the norm.

That’s all I can think to say right now, thanks for reading!

JUST-EAT.IE BITE BACK AT FRENCH WITH NEW WEBSITE FOR WORLD CUP! 0

Posted on June 09, 2010 by EmerMcC

Just-Eat.ie, the online takeaway ordering service,  have recently launched a new website entitled ‘AnyoneButFrance.ie’. The tongue-in-cheek website is dedicated to giving to Irish football supporters sanctuary during the World Cup, by offering tips and advice for avoiding all things French during the tournament.

Ireland failed to qualify for this year’s World Cup when they controversially lost 2-1 on aggregate to France in a World Cup qualifier play-off. Thierry Henry’s handball, which led to William Gallas’s winning goal, sent shockwaves throughout the football world. Despite widespread condemnation for the manner in which the French qualified, the subsequent calls for a re-match were dismissed by the governing body FIFA.

“Although the website is very much based on fun, there is a serious message underpinning the campaign” James Galvin, Managing Director of Just-Eat.ie claims. “Ireland being at The World Cup would have given the economy a much needed boost. We are a football fanatic nation, and our presence would have seen a massive increase in the sales of jerseys, beer, merchandise, takeaway food and much more. Whilst joining together to support ‘Anyone But France’, we believe we are doing our part to try and keep people’s interest high. It gives us a common, and we believe, justified aim”.

Since launching the micro-site in May, they have recruited almost 3,000 fans on Facebook and have given away over €2k worth of prizes to heart-broken Irish football fans. They have even signed up a number of restaurants nationwide to sell special edition ‘Hand-Burgers’.

“We’ve already received a number of complaints from French football fans about the tone of the website, but everything said is firmly in jest” says Galvin. “After everything that has happened to us, they can’t deny us the right to have some fun”.
